Father John Fowles
Father John Fowles is raising money flying a Jabaru plane around Australia. The plane was donated to his parish as a kit. He and a few parishoners spent most Mondays (traditionally known as the priests' day off) for the next 3 years building the plane.
Now he wants to give back to the community.
The Fly Away to Heaven initiative aims to:

Provide an opportunity to unite their parish and the wider community with the spirit of giving (Australian mateship is alive and well!)

Raise $1,000,000 to contribute to projects in East Timor that are in dire need of our financial support...especially for the women and children of that country.

Provide opportunities for Australian Youth to work in East Timor as missionaries

Provide opportunity for Timorese youth to attend World Youth Day 2008 in Sydney Australia to share and exchange cultural values that enrich the diversity of this unique gathering

Provide opportunities for Youth of East Timor to visit Australia and develop skills that will create change in their home environments
